In May 2020, 3R – Reduce, Reuse and Recycle started its activities in its new Materials Recovery Center (CRM), in Matola. With a team of 15 employees, the space will receive waste from the company’s clients and from a network of recycling bins to be established in partnership with local organizations.

With 800m2, the Center hosts a waste sorting, separation and weighing line. It also has machinery for compacting and crushing plastics, paper and cardboard, and covered storage space for processed materials. The company also continues to expand the number of final destinations in Mozambique and abroad where processed materials are sent for transformation into new products.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there was no inauguration event and site visits are still restricted.
